 norms and labelsBioApply bags and packaging adhere to the most demanding standards and have obtained the following labels:  The European norm EN 13432This norm sets the standard for "the value of packaging characteristics according to decomposition and biological breakdown". It determines the "test diagrams and the criteria of evaluation for the final acceptance of packaging". The biodegradable or biological breakdown criteria for compostable materials are more and more frequently used but often incorrectly so and are therefore a source of mistakes. The European standard EN 13432, (OJ of the European Communities of July 12, 2001) solves this problem and defines the characteristics that a material or a product, must have to be regarded as compostable and biodegradable.
